There are wonderful view you get in exchange for walking a few hundred steps on the bridge. Be mindful that the views are better when walking from Brooklyn towards Manhattan. The bridge can be very crowded over weekends and holidays, and you need to be mindful of the bike only side of the bridge. The bikers are mindful and cautious. If you need to buy decorative stuff being sold on the bridge (paintings, posters, etc.) It is better to wait till you get to he end of the bridge. You will get the same stuff at slightly cheaper rates. Enjoy the walk!!

Though this is a high traffic bridge with many people, it is totally worth the trip. Be mindful of bikers on the path. Great place to get to know other people. Stop by every so often and observe the surroundings. You can see many places from this bridge. One of my interesting things to do is to take some time and look at the age of the steel and ropes of the old bridge. Looking at the bridge structure you can really see the power of the bridge. About halfway through the bridge on the south side you can see the statute of liberty. Great scenery for pictures and videos. This would be and ideal location for wedding photography, or proposals. I’d like to bring your attention to the mid half of the bridge. The area that exposes almost every side of the city. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I feel so incredibly magical on this bridge and I don't know why. I think its an amazing place to see Manhattan and Brooklyn in all their beauty as well as feel the history that the bridge has seen. You also get sweeping views of the East river, Manhattan Bridge, and so many other sights to see. If you want a great place to take photos of the Brooklyn bridge, Brooklyn bridge park is right up your alley! Make sure you pack your walking shoes though, it is quite a hike from one side to the other!

It’s really neat. I had some time to kill so I walked it. From Manhattan to Brooklyn. It was super crowded on a beautiful September afternoon. Nothing like on tabs there were people jammed on the pedestrian deck. One cool thing I noticed half way across... if you look down you realize there is only seemingly thin pieces of wood between you and the river which looks like quite a ways down. I have a fear of heights and the exhilarating height added to the excitement!! Well worth it.

Brooklyn Bridge, is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the country. Its six-lanes (plus one pedestrian and bicycle walkway) span the East River, connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn. Walking across the bridge remains a tourist pastime. The limestone, granite and intricate steel cables make the bridge a beautiful sight to photograph. It's well worth it for spectacular view of the Big Apple. You can take the A or C subway to the High Street stop in Brooklyn and stroll along the bridge back to Manhattan. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from one side to the other.
