Amazing museum that you can spend the whole day in and still not see everything. There is plenty of staff located through out the museum to answer any questions. The ancient Greek and Roman art; Fresco's, statues, jewelry, and tombs were great to see. The Egyptian displays were also really great, there is several tombs you can walk through. The American Wing Cafe is okay, place to grab a quick bite and look at the map. The Heavenly Body exhibit was displayed in the main corridor of the Medical art wing.

By far the best and most detailed/informative museum I've been to. The displays of fossils and animal remains was amazing. Was here with my girlfriend for almost 4 hours and yet we only got though half of the exhibits (not including the space and deep sea movies one could attend if one purchased tickets including that) so I would recommend having 5-6 hours of time when going here (since it closes at 5:45pm). Other than that it was something everyone should experience!

Was such a great experience! Absolutely loved every minute. Spent 3 Hours and would still be able to another day. Tips - if you plan to visit this museum. 1. No food is allowed except water.. we had to throw ours away. 2. Do some research - we googled the must see items and that helped tremendously. 3. Head to the top floor and work your way down. 4. Have fun.

I was hyped about visiting this for sometime and all my expectations were exceeded. It baffles me anyone would rate this place anything less than 5 stars. Starting from the amazing Egyptian mummy collections to the famous contemporary arts, the Met has it all and after spending 5 hours there I still haven’t seen 3 complete sections. They have art installations now and then and apparently they move around the exhibits to keep the museum fresh and makes it worth revisiting anytime you’re in New York.

Full price worthy. Beautiful collection of history and art work. Make sure you go almost on the opening time to enjoy watching every part which is almost impossible if you take too long to look at one thing. It is advisable to take audio tour which was i guess $7, you can also hire a tour guide which i guess was fun because while wandering i heard them cracking jokes(i too had a laugh listening to them, i didn't take any tour guide or audio tour to save time and money so free laughs are always welcomed ????) and also giving proper knowledge to the tourists. The admission fees for residents of New York and neighbourhood state students is $25 or pay as you wish and for Non-New Yorkers $25 has to be paid. Try visiting there on Fridays as it is opened for extra 4 or something hours which will give you more time to explore. From information stalls you can take the map of the MET and try to explore according to the map by planning. Food stalls are too available and also places to sit. Wheelchair assessable place. Beautiful place to be at.
