The prettiest park in Europe with Hyde Park. It was a beautiful afternoon I spend there, there is so much to do and explore, go for a run, get into the little boats or just walk to the crystal palace. It's just too pretty and reflects a little the traditional life in Madrid as the locals know it. A place with a lot.of history but somehow manages to be contemporary. Worth staying there for a few hours at least, please make time in your schedule for this place.

This is a nice park and It is a pleasant place to walk, I definitely recommend to stay all day in this park, such a big park with many things to see and the most important thing to enjoy the nature. A scenic park, an excellent landmark if you're lost, and a thing of pride to most locals. It’s good place to have lunch while visiting Madrid. It's central enough to be easily reachable from most central Madrid locations, via a 10/15 minute walk. It was near the national Museum. This is a really chill park with lost of space. It has a pretty lake with loads of benches everywhere. It was a really nice park to chill for a bit and it was fun. They also had along the gates outside, a whole selection of artists selling their art, so it was cool to look through and see some random and vastly differemt types of art.

The Retiro should definitely be on your list of things to do when visiting Madrid, it makes a great change from visits to galleries/museums etc. For a city centre park it is vast, you will certainly find some areas busy, but there are always areas for a picnic or just a sit down in a quiet, shady spot. Beautiful lakes and plenty of cafes if you just want to sit and people watch. For the more energetic you can hire a rowing boat out on the lake. Can't remember the price now, but it was not too expensive. The lake is stocked with thousands of large fish and you can buy fish food in the park if you want to feed them. A park well worth a visit by both adults and kids

The place to go and pass the day. Pass at the market first to get some local ham and cheese and some olives. Get yourself some bread and make a spontaneous picnic. Close to the water there are several spots to enjoy a drink or get some beverage at the kiosk. So many nice locations. Or do a tour with one of the small boats on the pond

Fantastic park. Huge area of grass, trees, fountains and monuments at the centre of Madrid. Beautiful lake where you can hire boat. Nice fountains. Great glass-garden where the art exhibitions take place. You may see young artists playing classical music themes. Very pleasant place to spend few hours during traffic rush hours.
