A fantastic experience, we did this at night and to me that made it even better. The temple itself is amazing, the views of Chiang Mai are phenomenal and add that to the surreal experience of the monks chanting echoing through the walls. We received a san sin and a blessing from a monk which was very humbling. Please note it’s a 309 stair climb to the top and it’s the only way in

Its on a mountain near Chang Mai. The temple has its own beauty. With a lot of history. Its also famous for the bells. They had a meaning and you will find them all over the place. If you are not so interested in visiting temples, then you should go too. On the top you have a very nice view over the city of Chang Mai. (If the sky is clear) You can see the old city centre, airport, .. To get to the temple there are 2 ways. You can take the stairs or you can take the elevator.

Very nice. This is one of the 'must see' site in Chiang Mai area. You can have great view on Chiang Mai city whether it's day or night. I'm not a religious person that I couldn't understand what the Thai feel exactly but anyway I know this is sacred place for them.

This temple has many staircase, you will need to go up to the temple by staircase. The design is very nice and fine. Definitely a good place to take photo here. However, please remember you must wear proper wear that cover your leg, no big collar hole, etc. Inside the temple, you must take off your shoes to pay respect to the temple. You can get flower and candle here, by donate a amount of money to the box (any amount you feel fine). Go into the temple, there is a cardboard with Scripture (english available) for you to pray around the center temple. Also, it has a very good landscape view from high viewpoint. Overall, just bare in mind the clothes before enter the temple.

Very broad view of Chiang Mai from the top. I recommend going early to avoid the cloud cover over the city. The temple itself was nice but not as intricately detailed as others we saw. Entrance price is reasonable.
