What isn't good at Rustic and Blue? Been coming here since I moved to Thailand. Though the prices can bee a little up there, the food never disappoints. Plating, taste, atmosphere, quality, quantity.... Check, Check, Check, Check, Check. An elegant restaurant with delicious food that has rivaled even my best Western meal in the states. You will not regret Rustic and Blue.

Very cute little cafe/restaurant nestled in a decently accessible part of Chiang Mai. Lots of vegan and healthy options, as well as an amazing selection of loose leaf teas (which are available for purchase at 250 baht per sachet). The menu looks incredible, and it took me so long to choose what to order because I wanted it all! I eventually settled on the sriracha maple chicken and cheddar cheese waffle. It looked amazing!! It wasn’t bad, but I wished I’d chosen something else. The fried chicken had a lot of fat and it was quite difficult to reach the meat without making a huge mess. The waffles were yummy, but far too soft! Felt more like pancakes than waffles. The cheese plate was ok, but the bread that accompanies it looks better than it tastes. I also ordered a “pumpkin spice” latte, but there was zero spice to be found within. It tasted exactly like a normal latte. Quite disappointing. Overall, however, I’d give this place another try. It’s a beautiful place, and I think the food has great potential. The menu alone is quite impressive. There are so many more items I’d love to try!!

One of my new favorite restaurants in Chiang Mai. Although unassuming from the street, it is quite large with a nice patio are in between the two buildings. The service is great, done with a smile and very efficient. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy with a minimalistic, yet nice, approach to decor. The food is delicious and very well presented. The menu is varied enough to offer something for everyone. It is an ideal place for brunch as you can combine sweet breakfast foods with a savory lunch item. I had the pumpkin & carrot soup followed by the Brekkie Stack. Both were absolutely divine. I highly recommend them both. The brioche French toast was well battered and cooked. The advertised maple bacon really was crispy maple bacon. DELICIOUS ???? Go and enjoy a great meal at Rustic & Blue!

The food and atmosphere of Rustic and Blue are hard to beat. However, if you are planning on dinning here, expect uninvited guests. The place was infested with cockroaches and rats. We stepped on one cockroach, and our server accidentally stepped on another two before kicking them under the neighboring table. We saw three rats run past the window which reaffirmed our decision to eat inside. Needles to say, this made my vegan burger much harder to enjoy. I had high expectations for this restaurant as it has been highly recommended, but to me it just seemed overpriced, and I didn’t like the surprise additional 5% service fee on our bill.

The food is amazing although quite expensive for Chiang Mai standard. Expect to pay 250+ baht for any course and 200 for a drink. I can recommend the coconut milk cappuccino and the banana chocolate smoothie bowl. However, this is a great place to work. The music is excellent, the wifi is super fast (250 mbps) and there a couple of power outlets you can use, if you seat in the right table. It's relatively quiet as well, at least in late June 2018 (low season).
